More than 134 years ago, the Sisters of St. Francis and Monsignor Bornemann founded our hospital to provide much-needed health services in our community. They built the hospital with the commitment and support of local citizens who shared their dedication to caring for all members of the community. The St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation is a charitable, not-for-profit corporation created to support the mission and specifically the services of St. Joseph Medical Center. Working collaboratively with the St. Joseph Regional Health Network Board of Directors and the parent corporation, Catholic Health Initiatives, the Foundation Board establishes programs and policies to achieve the fundraising objectives of the Foundation, which sustain the mission of the Medical Center.

Heart Institute

The Heart Institute at St. Joseph Medical Center has a rich history of providing high-tech care with a human touch. Based on a solid foundation of expertise in cardiac care, our range of services for heart patients has continued to grow over the years.

Cancer Center

St. Joseph Medical Center's Oncology Program has been providing cancer care since 1947. Since 1994, St. Joseph Medical Center has been a member of the University of Pennsylvania Cancer Network. As an American College of Surgeons fully accredited Comprehensive Cancer Program, the Center provides a full continuum of care and services from cancer prevention and treatment to family support services.

Birth Center

For families anticipating the pitter-patter of a new set of feet, Women's Care at St. Joseph Medical Center welcomes the entire family in sharing the intimate and magical moments of a new life. Because pregnancy, childbirth and parenting are all family affairs, our services and programs are designed to accommodate every member of the family.

Vascular

St. Joseph Medical Center's talented group of board-certified physicians and experienced clinical staff have a proven expertise and history of innovation in a variety of medical and surgical techniques and technologies that detect, treat and prevent circulation disorders. Pulmonary

The primary goal of the Respiratory Care Department at Saint Joseph Medical Center is to provide the highest quality care to our patients.
